The castle of Pantokratoras was founded in 1807 and consists of two main building phases.

According to Mr. Karabela, the first phase of the construction of the castle is placed during the second period of fortification interventions works of Ali Pasha in Preveza, around 1815.

The castle retained its military character and after 1912 new buildings were built on it. In the newer years the castle was converted into prisons.

This use was abolished with the completion of the prisons in Ioannina in 1968.Our days during the summer you use for concert venues.
