Near Gribovo of Arta there are two caves called Drakotripes.
One is located north of the village and at a distance of one kilometer, on the slope
of a hill called Megalo Plai. The cave is spacious and deep. Tradition even says
that someone who wanted to explore it got lost in it.

The second cave is located near the settlement of Ampelia of Ammotopos and is accompanied by
equally interesting stories. Although its opening is small, it is said that once some priests
who wanted to explore it, got lost in its underground galleries and never came out again.
The interesting thing is that at the mouth of the second cave there is a small
church dedicated – to what else – to St. Paraskevi.

The distance between the two caves is only two kilometers and tradition says that they are
connected by a tunnel. The legend refers to a dragon killed by St. Paraskevi. After the death of the monster,
the locals saw next to the cave in Ampelia a dim light at night while during the day the appearance
of the Saint appeared. These phenomena made them build the homonymous church at the mouth of the cave.
The water that runs inside the small cave is considered – as is natural – holy water.
