The following recording is a quote from the Master of the area Ahchileas Barbas

At the end of July, the German patrol came to our village, sent from Kokkinadi, which was the Macedonian units of ELAS.
The next day, German troops came from Konitsa and set fire to the entire village, all the houses, churches, schools,
water mills, thatched huts. Only the House of Athanasios Gouris survived.

They murdered 1) Ilias Plati 2) Vassilios Bogdos 3) Maria Chr Bogdou 4) Ioannis Giotos for whom because his
body was not found maybe they threw him in the burning house of Skrakos the same would happen to Maria Chr Bogdou

All the inhabitants of the village were surrounded in the forest and watched from the place of Souvlia and from the
stone of Letsio the destruction of the village
When the Germans left the village I came and I was one of the first, the houses were still smoking.

Outside the burned school was the painting placed above the stairs and the following was written in calligraphic
letters with chalk: The village of Eleftheron disappeared from the earth because its inhabitants turned
