The town of Paramythia is located in the prefecture of Thesprotia in Epirus.

Its name comes from the name of the Virgin Mary of Paramythia (in ancient Greek means comforting)
as well as a large church that is preserved in excellent condition in the center of the city.
It is built in the place of ancient Evoria, which destroyed in 551 AD.

The Goths of Totilla. The patron saint of the city is Ag. Donatos. Paramythia was a small Byzantine city, built in 1000 BC. It is located amphitheatrically at the altitude of 750 m, at the foot of Gorilla.
