Near the “God bridge” in the village Katarraktis in Ioannina, there is another impressive natural bridge, which is called the “Devil’s bridge”. The official name of the bridge is “Ouranogefiro” which means “Sky bridge”.

Several years ago when people, especially those who were living in the mountains, needed to move through inaccessible paths, the bridges were great importance to them.

The “Devil’s bridge” in particular has the following disadvantage: on the one side there is a steep rock so that no one could pass to the other side. This is why the locals named it the “Devil’s bridge”. Special Thanks to John Ntinos and George Staurou for their help
