Near the village of Vouliasta in the Municipality of Dodoni, is the natural lake of Louros springs or Viros, located in a green landscape called by snow-covered plane trees.

The area is of rare natural beauty and is called by the locals and blue lake, because of the color of its waters which are clear while in them are reflected the trees that surround it.

The lake communicates underground with the Louros which flows into the Amvrakikos. Louros springs are the “hidden” secret of many nature lovers as it is “hidden” on the old national road Ioannina – Patras and, because travelers now move on the Ionian Road to go to the city of Ioannina, they ignore this fairytale point.
